MARKETING BOOK SHOWS CONTRACTORS HOW TO PLAN FOR INCREASED PROFITS

Leviton Manufacturing, Little Neck, N.Y., now offers a handbook that provides step-by-step instruction to electrical contractors on how to use basic marketing practices and principles to plan for increased growth and profitability.

The Marketing Handbook is designed to furnish electrical contractors with a comprehensive overview of the marketing process. According to Leviton, the majority of electrical contractors don't always pick and choose the most profitable work in the marketplace because they're not familiar with the basics of marketing.

The handbook describes how electrical contractors can benefit from positioning and promoting their talent and resources to keep pace with an ever-changing marketplace.

“Leviton is always ready to help our contractor customers not just by developing innovative products, but by offering support, education, service and training,” said Stan Rydzynski, Leviton director of marketing. “Contractors who want to run their businesses more successfully will find this one-of-a-kind handbook invaluable. “It's filled with ideas on how to think about, plan and market their business more profitably.”

The handbook includes sections on marketing theory and practice and planning for profitable growth, targeting the most lucrative market segments, and how to sell to and satisfy customers. Detailed descriptions of specific marketing tactics are featured, including direct mail, advertising and public relations.

The handbook, valued at $39.95, is available through electrical distributors or directly from Leviton. For more information, call (800) 323-8920 or visit www.leviton.com.
