Louis Gale, P.E. from Raleigh, N.C., sent me these photos of a regular extension ladder that was being used as a cable tray at a tower used for cellular phones and other communication purposes in eastern North Carolina. The drooping communications cables and the makeshift cable tray are violations. See Section 392.1. Article 392 covers cable tray systems, including ladder, ventilated trough, ventilated channel, solid bottom and other similar structures.
