Parts I through VII of Art. 240 provide the general requirements for overcurrent protection and overcurrent protective devices rated less than 1,000V. Disconnecting and guarding rules are outlined in Part IV. As noted in Sec. 240.41(B), "Handles or levers of circuit breakers, and similar parts that may move suddenly in such a way that persons in the vicinity are likely to be injured by being struck by them, shall be guarded or isolated."
