The Lighting Research Center (LRC) recently announced the first Fiber Optic Lighting Institute will be held June 23-25 at the LRC’s laboratory in Watervliet, N.Y. LRC welcomes designers, contractors, lighting specifiers, and others who want to learn more about fiber-optic lighting technology. Participants will learn to specify, install, commission, and maintain fiber-optic lighting systems and earn a Lighting Institute Continuing Education Certificate and three CEUs for completing the three-day course. The cost is $700, and enrollment is limited to 30.
The three-day seminar will be led by Dr. Narendran of the LRC, an expert in fiber-optic technology and performance of fiber-optic systems.
The seminar fee includes continental breakfasts, buffet lunches, and one dinner. All materials and manuals are included. The LRC will also provide all lighting equipment. Lodging and transportation are not included; however, the LRC has negotiated a special rate at the Rensselaer Best Western (518) 274-3210.
