July 14, 2010
San Jose, Calif.-based SolarTech recently released a report on publicly available solar financial calculators

San Jose, Calif.-based SolarTech recently released a report on publicly available solar financial calculators. The report, "Solar PV Financial Calculators," was sponsored by SolarTech Finance Committee in partnership with Gary J. Sbona Honors Program at San Jose State University (SJSU) School of Business and a California Energy Commission PIER grant.

There are various solar financial analysis calculators available, both public and private, that attempt to help make the decision of whether or not to install a solar photovoltaic system easier, according to the report. The purpose of the report is to provide a preliminary screening of some of the public solar financial analysis calculators that can be expanded upon by SolarTech later.
