If you’re an electrician looking to achieve the highest salary possible, then moving to Alaska is still your best bet. Like last year, once again the "Last Frontier State" ranked No. 1 for compensation (average hourly wage and annual salary) based on the latest research from the Bureau of Labor Statistics in its updated Occupational Employment and Wages Study from May 2015. Not much changed since the last BLS report, however. Average wages and salaries increased slightly, and four states kept their spots in the top five — with only Oregon falling out and Hawaii making its debut.
