BP Solar Announces Completion of Solar Power Pilot Project

Three recent projects complete BP Solar's portion of pilot project portfolio

Frederick, Md.-based BP Solar recently announced the completion of its solar power construction program for Wal-Mart. The company recently completed construction of three sites in California, including the 493.7kW solar power system at the Sam's Club in La Habra, as well as systems at Wal-Mart Super Centers in Palm Springs, (605.9kW) and Beaumont (675.2kW).

The 4.1MW project consists of nearly 24,000 solar panels expected to produce 6.7 million kilowatt hours of electricity per year.
