Cooper Wiring Devices announces it has been certified as a Complete Control Partner with Universal Remote Control; EMCOR Group's Hyre Electric subsidiary received a contract for the installation of electrical systems for an expansion project at St. Mary's Medical Center; The Tampa Bay Business Journal named Power Design as a finalist for the Best Places to Work in Tampa Bay; Leviton Manufacturing Co. donated two of its manufacturing facilities and properties to Ashe County Job Development, West Jefferson, N.C.; Extech Instruments launched its Recession Relief rebate and prize program.
  • Cooper Wiring Devices, Peachtree City, Ga., a division of Cooper Industries, Houston, has been certified as a Complete Control Partner with Universal Remote Control (URC), Harrison, N.Y. The Complete Control Partner Program certifies that URC custom automation products and Aspire RF wireless lighting control devices can be seamlessly integrated and provide full-functionality using the Aspire RF Serial Interface Programming Module (#RF232).
  • EMCOR Group , Norwalk, Conn., recently announced that its Hyre Electric subsidiary, Highland, Ind., has received a contract for the installation of electrical systems for an expansion project at St. Mary's Medical Center, Hobart, Ind. Hyre Electric's work will include installation of new 64-slice CT, MRI, and ultrasound imaging equipment and will also be involved in the upgrade to existing high-voltage and generator switchgear, as well as the installation of three closed-transition and one dual-motor automatic transfer switches.
  • The Tampa Bay Business Journal, Tampa Bay, Fla., has named Power Design, St. Petersburg, Fla., as a finalist for the Best Places to Work in Tampa Bay. The award recognizes a company’s achievements in creating a positive work environment that attracts and retains employees through a combination of benefits, working conditions, and company culture.
  • Leviton Manufacturing Co., Little Neck, N.Y., recently donated two of its manufacturing facilities and properties to Ashe County Job Development, West Jefferson, N.C., a community economic development organization focused on attracting businesses and job opportunities to North Carolina’s Ashe’s County. The properties, located in Jefferson, N.C., are being donated to assist in the creation of local area jobs.
  • Extech Instruments, Waltham, Mass., a subsidiary of FLIR Systems, Wilsonville, Ore., recently launched its Recession Relief rebate and prize program. Customers who spend $200 in new Extech test equipment products will receive a $15 rebate; $500 purchases earn a $40 rebate; $1,000 purchases will receive an $80 rebate; and $2,000 purchases earn a $200 rebate.
