  • As part of its Operations & Maintenance business, EDF Energies Nouvelles, Paris, recently announced the signing, by its U.S. subsidiary enXco, Escondido, Calif., of four new contracts covering 981MW in wind farm-generated capacity with U.S. electricity companies. These contracts lift the total wind farm generated capacity managed by EDF EN under operations and maintenance contracts in the United States to more than 3,000MW.

  • EMCOR Group, Norwalk, Conn., recently announced that its subsidiary, Welsbach Electric, Long Island, N.Y., has received a contract for the modernization and upgrade of electrical systems of a portion of The Wantagh State Parkway on Long Island. The company will be responsible for the modernization of the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) and lighting upgrade.

  • Fenton, Mo.-based Kaiser Electric is expanding its operations across the Mississippi River into Granite City, Ill. An open house at the new office is scheduled for Dec. 3.
