Dynalectric Co. Wins National Safety Award

Dynalectric earns safety excellence award from the National Electrical Contractors Association

Dynalectric Co., Portland, Ore., was recently recognized for exemplary safety practices and performance with a Safety Excellence Award from the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA). A subsidiary of EMCOR, Dynalectric won the award for achieving safety excellence with lost-work incidents and total recordable incident rates well below the industry average.

“At Dynalectric and within the entire EMCOR organization, our commitment to the well-being of our workers has transformed into a safety culture that is second to none,” said Randy Wagner, president of Dynalectric Co, in a company press release. “We are passionate about the safety of our workers and have made a commitment to the goal of achieving zero accidents so they may return home safely every day. It is a great honor to receive this prestigious award from NECA, and it is a testament to the safety performance our people achieve.”

Dynalectric Co.’s commitment to safety is part of a multi-tiered, integrated approach that includes a zero accident program as well as numerous supporting initiatives, such as the “Be There for Life” program. This EMCOR effort is designed to educate employees and their families about the importance of safety through use of workplace posters, company newsletters, mailings, and other efforts intended to reach employees and their families. EMCOR also conducts regional “Target Zero” safety conferences, bringing together industry experts from its operating companies and partners to share information and successful strategies.
