Griffin Electric Completes Service Credit Union Project

The Griffin Electric team was responsible for installing a state-of-the-art lighting and controls package for the Service Credit Union Project
Wayne J. Griffin Electric, Inc. (Griffin Electric) recently completed the electrical installation
work for Service Credit Union in Portsmouth, N.H.

Constructed by local New Hampshire labor, the credit union’s new corporate offices consisted of a 100,000-sq-ft , 4-story building with a lower level parking garage and mechanical area. Features of the facility include a full-service, 24/7 member service call center, in addition to foreign exchange, member check imaging, processing and control, finance and executive offices.  Additionally, three community rooms are available for use by local city government, not-for-profit organizations, and other association, to help with the need for meeting space in the Portsmouth area.

The Griffin Electric team was responsible for installing a state-of-the-art lighting and controls package at the facility, in addition to a new 1,000kW generator, fire alarm system, including an atrium exhaust system interface, and UPS, security, and tele/data systems.

Leading the project to completion was Boston-based Suffolk Construction Co., Inc. (construction manager) GUND Partnership (architect), of Cambridge, Mass., and Zade Co. (electrical engineer), of Boston.

The project has obtained a LEED Gold certification.
