To commemorate National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Hein Electric Supply Co., Brookfield, Wis., and vendor sponsor Minerallac/Cully, Seattle, Wash., held a promotion and special events, raising nearly $4,000 for Susan G. Komen for the Cure, a breast cancer education and research organization. “The lives of so many people have been touched by breast cancer in one way or another,” says Laura Longston, Hein marketing manager. “Because of this, we wanted to help Susan G. Komen for the Cure in the fight against this terrible disease. We are proud of the support we received from our customers, vendors, and local community.”

Hein sales staff donated their October incentive earnings for the cause, and the company also donated $1 for every package of Minerallac/Cully fasteners sold. At two contractor events, raffles raised additional monies for the charitable organization.
