Which states pay electrical professionals the most? When it comes to pulling down the highest annual salaries and hourly wages, electrical engineers and electricians shared only one state in common (Alaska). So if you’re looking for the highest possible pay, then a move to the “Last Frontier” state may be in your future.

Based on the latest research (May 2014) from the Bureau of Labor Statistics in its Occupational Employment and Wages Study, the West and East Coasts dominate this list, leaving only Illinois as a compensation leader in the Midwest.
