Tools to be used in first cabling skills challenge

Sycamore, Ill.-based Ideal Industries is giving information transport systems (ITS) installers the opportunity to use its equipment when showcasing their skills at the first annual Tampa, Fla.-based BICSI Cabling Skills Challenge. IDEAL has agreed to donate more than $3,400 in testers, hand tools, and supplies for the event to be held at the 2008 BICSI Spring Conference, April 27-30, in Nashville, Tenn.

The BICSI Cabling Skills Challenge pits teams of contractors against one another to test such skills as cable terminating, assembly, troubleshooting, support, and overall professionalism, as they compete for the title of Installer of the Year.
