IEC Georgia has welcomed two new members: Sowder Electric Co. and Rowell Electric Co.
SECO is located in Jasper, Tennessee, and services Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia areas. Mike Sowder is president of SECO and operates a family-oriented business. Family in this organization includes his brother, sons, and extends to the relationships maintained through their business referrals.
SECO specializes in commercial and industrial projects and has been in business since 1992. Sowder has memberships with IEC Tri-state and National. He comes to IEC Georgia looking forward in using the online apprenticeship program, and getting to know and working with the members of both Atlanta and Georgia chapters.
Rowell Electric has been established since 1955 and specializes in industrial, commercial and light residential projects. Rowell is also licensed as a low voltage and mechanical contractor. William Rowell is owner of this multi-faceted and established business.
Currently Rowell is working on a project at Plant Vogtle, a nuclear power plant located in Burke County. This project has been on Rowell Electric’s portfolio of projects for the last four years, and it is the biggest motivation to join IEC. IEC is known for the benefits of its Davis/Bacon program, which Rowell Electric will be taking full advantage of.
