Fenton, Mo.-based Kaiser Electric is expanding its operations into Central Missouri and has hired Jason Russell of Jefferson City, Mo., to manage the new division and its staff. "We have consistently been asked to bid work in this market over the past couple of years," says Kaiser Electric President Steve Giacin. "We spent considerable time contemplating a move to this market; and after discussing our thoughts with several general contractors, contacts, and customers working in the Central Missouri market, we found many similarities between this market and our Illinois Division. Therefore, reflecting on the success we are having in Illinois, we have pulled the trigger in Central Missouri. We are following the same philosophy as the Illinois office; hire local management and field staff and let them drive the business.”"
Kaiser Electric expanded its operations in 2008 across the Mississippi River into Granite City, Ill., where it opened its second office. The office and warehouse is managed by three full-time project managers, plus field staff.
Russell was hired to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Central Missouri division, which includes estimating and managing projects. He has more than 10 years of industry experience, having previously worked as a project manager and general foreman.
"Jason has worked his entire career in the Central Missouri market, so he obviously understands its intricacies," Giacin says. "He will have the full weight of Kaiser Electric's resources behind him. We are presently securing work and field staff for this market."
