Manhattan’s biggest building project protected by Bussmann low-peak fuses

The AOL Time Warner Center, Manhattan, N.Y., will be protected by an array of fuses supplied by Cooper Bussmann. The electrical circuit protection system has 25 switchboards (1,200A to 4,000A) all containing fusible switches, 500 panelboards (100A to 1,600A), 75 plug-in busway switches (100A to 600A), and 1,900 Bussmann low-peak fuses. These fuses were selected by the consulting engineer for all switchboards,

These fuses were selected by the consulting engineer for all switchboards, power panels, and busway switches because of the high available short-circuit currents and the overcurrent protective devices.
