One of the St. Louis area’s largest electrical contractors just got bigger. PayneCrest Electric and Communications (an IBEW/NECA electrical contractor) recently acquired Beach Electric, a contracting firm, also from St. Louis, that was founded in 1952 and specialized in serving the consumer goods industry.

The announcement was made by David Payne, resident of Frontenac, Mo., and president of PayneCrest. Tom Canty, resident of Glendale, Mo., and president of Beach, joins PayneCrest and will cultivate new business in consumer goods industries. The acquisition nearly doubles PayneCrest’s service fleet to 28 service vans while adding an additional 25 service personnel.
