RCDD Exam Requirements to Change in 2010

Five years experience required under TDMM 12th edition

In January, Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) applicants taking the RCDD exam based on the Telecommunications Distribution Methods Manual (TDMM), 12th edition, must have five years of ITS experience as well as proof of completion of the ITS Design Fundamentals exam. Two of these five years must be approved and verifiable design experience; the additional three years must either be approved, recent, and verifiable design experience or equivalent, such as approved education or other credentials. Specialists must have two years of approved, recent, and verifiable design experience, as well as proof of completion of the ITS Design Fundamentals Program.

Individuals planning to sit for the RCDD exam based on theTDMM, 11th edition, and under the two-year experience requirement, must apply by Dec. 31, 2009. Once approved, applicants must pass by March. For more information, visit the BICSI Web site.
