Company expands emergency lighting portfolio with acquisition

Amsterdam, The Netherlands-based Royal Philips Electronics recently acquired emergency ballast manufacturer The Bodine Company, Collierville, Tenn. Bodine will be fully integrated as a business unit within Philips Lighting, while its commercial activities will continue to be operated under the Bodine structure.

Bodine’s revenues totaled $30 million in 2005.
