SATCO Products, Inc., Brentwood, N.Y., has received the 2009 Energy Star Partner of the Year award in the lighting manufacturing category. The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recognized SATCO, and its NUVO lighting brand, for promoting energy efficiency and offering consumers lighting technology that is economical.
"EPA is pleased to recognize SATCO Products for leadership in addressing global warming through greater energy efficiency,” says Kathleen Hogan, director of the Climate Protection Partnerships Division at the EPA. "By promoting their products that have earned the Energy Star, SATCO is showing customers that we can boost our nation’s energy efficiency and reduce our emissions of greenhouse gases, while producing quality products.”
