Company offers “Retro on the 8’s” program

Danvers, Mass.-based Sylvania Lighting Services (SLS) recently introduced “Retro on the 8's,” an upgrade program that combines customer service with T8 fluorescent lighting systems. Under the program, for a fixed monthly fee SLS will retrofit and maintain building lighting systems for a period of 68 or 88 months.

The company recommends the program to facilities where lighting systems are more than eight years old, were installed between 1988 and 1998, utility rates exceed $.08 per kilowatt hour, operating cycles exceed 3,800 hours, or where current systems have been poorly maintained.
