Weber Electric, St. Paul, Minn., will become part of Egan Co., effective March 2

Jim Malecha, Egan Co. president and CEO, announced recently that Weber Electric, St. Paul, Minn., will become part of Egan Co., Minneapolis, effective March 2.

Founded in 1960 by Leo Weber, Weber Electric has served the Twin Cities Metro Area with electrical construction, service, and communication work for over 50 years. While Weber Electric is becoming part of the Egan Co. family, they will retain their office in St. Paul, and operate as Weber Electric - an Egan Co. They will continue to be led by brothers, Steve and Rob Weber.

“We are excited to welcome the Weber team into our group of businesses,” commented Malecha. “This company shares our business philosophy of customer satisfaction and service and will be a positive addition to our existing offerings for our customers. They will also greatly strengthen our presence in the East Metro market.”

According to Malecha, a 10-year personal relationship with the Webers was the impetus to getting the deal put together. “They have the same values, business philosophy and commitment to customer satisfaction as we do so we expect everything to come together smoothly in a positive and productive manner,” added the Egan president and CEO.

This marks the fourth electrical acquisition for Egan in the last 13 months.
