Power Design, Inc. has been named as the electrical contractor on New River Yacht Club, the first residential tower awarded in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., in the last five years.

Power Design, Inc. has been named as the electrical contractor on New River Yacht Club, the first residential tower awarded in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., in the last five years. Partnering with Suffolk Construction and The Related Group, Power Design started construction on the 249-unit luxury project, which is slated for completion in 2014. New River Yacht Club will feature a private club room, a game room, a state-of-the art fitness center and a pool with an outdoor bar.

“We look forward to continuing our relationship with Suffolk and The Related Group,” said Wayne Stewart, senior project manager. “We are eager to deliver what will be an outstanding addition to downtown Fort Lauderdale.”

Power Design currently has more than 6,000 units under construction in South Florida.
