Sheraton in Phoenix Reopens After Electrical Fire

Nov. 3, 2014

The Sheraton in downtown Phoenix reopened last week after an electrical room fire. The fire had broke out the previous Saturday and had forced the evacuation of 800 guests.

No injuries were reported, but smoke from the fire had poured into hallways and out of the building, according to an Associated Press report.

Electricians are still working on replacing everything in the hotel's electrical room. Part of the repairs required custom-made parts, causing a delay in restoration, azfamily.com reported.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
