Explanation: A change to the 2023 NEC in Sec. 342.20 now permits a maximum size of 6 in. in-lieu of the previous maximum size of 4 in. for intermediate metal conduit. A similar change to Sec. 358.20 now permits EMT up to 6 in. as well.
