The Arkansas Board of Electrical Examiners will hold a public hearing on May 20 to accept public comments on adopting the 2014 NEC. The adoption is a proposed amendment to the rules of the Board of Electrical Examiners.
"The National Electrical Code, 2014, shall be the standard for the construction, installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical facilities and the performance of electrical work.," the amendment reads.
The rule would be amended to update the National Electrical Code from the 2011 edition to the 2014 edition. And the rule reflecting the history and effective dates of the Board’s rules would be amended to include the foregoing with an effective date of June 15, 2014.
Written comment will be accepted through 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 by the Arkansas Department of Labor at the above address.
