Code Clusters: The Worst of the Worst

Dec. 4, 2013
A look back at EC&M’s top 10 Code violations of all time
When we started Illustrated Catastrophes in 1999, we had a feeling it would be popular. But little did we know that it would turn into an EC&M institution. Nearly 15 years later, this department is stronger and more popular than ever. We thought it might be fun to revisit some of the most outlandish Code violations of the past, so the staff dug through the archives to find our all-time favorites. This was no easy task considering how many we had to choose from. These crazy installations still amaze and scare us all at the same time. Although some of the shots are so bizarre they’re downright hilarious, it’s important to remember the serious safety ramifications behind these Code violations. We hope you enjoy what we consider to be the “worst of the worst” Code Clusters. Let us know which ones are your favorites.
