The National Electrical Manufacturers Association’s (NEMA) standard for distribution equipment recently received approval from the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). ANSI/NEMA KS 2-2013 provides application information for the proper selection, installation, and operation of distribution equipment switches up to 600V. Switch selection and application for UL 98, UL 977, and UL 1429 have been updated in this edition.
