The ICM517 single-phase surge protective device is suitable for protecting air conditioners, generators, and other valuable equipment from surges caused by lightning strikes and other power disruptions.

The ICM517 is UL-listed for the U.S. and Canada as a Type 2 device offering 100,000A/1,020 joule protection and is backed by a limited lifetime protection warranty. It features a steel, NEMA 3R-rated enclosure and is designed to be installed at the air conditioning disconnect, standard electrical panel, or after a breaker with a 20A to 60A rating. Diagnostic LEDs provide at-a-glance assurance that the device is operating at maximum protection.
