Jan. 15, 2014
Offered in petroleum-based, zinc, and copper formulas Available in bottles, tubes, and packets Flake-filled versions provide enhanced bonding between two surfaces

Available in bottles, tubes, and packets, De-Ox oxide inhibitor comes in three formulas. The standard non-grit, petroleum-based formula is suitable for aluminum and copper connections, and helps keep moisture and air from penetrating the connection. The zinc formula contains zinc flake additive and is designed for use on aluminum or copper connections. The copper formula contains copper flake additive and is suitable for use on copper connections. Both flake filled formulas act as an abrasive that roughs up the smooth mating surfaces of the conductor and connector, providing an enhanced bonding between the two surfaces, as well as better holding strength and cooler operating temperatures.
