Sine wave filter

July 23, 2013
The Inversine AUAF transforms chopped up PWM VFD output voltage into a clean sine wave that has less than 3% THD(V).
The Inversine advanced universal sine wave filter (AUAF) provides motor
protection against the degrading effects of reflected wave phenomenon that cause motor winding failure, cable insulation degradation, and high electromagnetic interference (EMI/RFI). Designed to transform the chopped up PWM VFD output voltage into a clean sine wave that has less than 3% THD(V), the AUSF works with all makes of PWM VFD’S on applications such as: motor drives with up to 15,000 ft of motor lead lengths, electrical submersible pumps (ESP’s) with long motor cables, existing motor with insufficient motor or cable insulation, motor drives with multiple parallel motors, and HVAC systems requiring reduced audible motor noise. Additionally, the product corrects the motor power factor to almost unity and does not require damping resistors.
