Spark-ignited generator engines

Jan. 15, 2013
Generac’s gaseous-fueled generator engines feature stainless steel intake and exhaust valves, corrosion- and wear-resistant valve seats, and reduced valve angles.
The 9.0L and 12.9L gaseous-fueled engines are designed for use on the company’s 80kW
and 100kW generators and 150kW through 300kW generators, respectively. Features include stainless steel intake and exhaust valves while Stellite, a cobalt-based alloy, makes the valve seats resistant to corrosion and wear. Valve angles are reduced to minimize friction, and hypereutectic cast aluminum pistons resist thermal expansion for tighter clearances.
