Sustainable hard hat

Sept. 30, 2013
The V-Gard GREEN hard hat is manufactured using HDPE sourced entirely from sugarcane ethanol.

Unlike conventional hard hats manufactured from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) sourced from nonrenewable petrochemicals, the V-Gard GREEN hard hat is manufactured using HDPE sourced entirely from sugarcane ethanol. Offered in standard size (6.5 in. to 8 in.) with the company’s 4-point FasTrac ratchet suspension in white, yellow, blue, green, and red colors, the hard hat is certified to ANSI Z89.1 and CSA Z94.1 and can be recycled at the end of its use.
