A propane-fueled alternative to traditional standby and portable generators, the EcoGen automatic standby generator is warranted for off-grid use when used in an alternative energy system. Working in conjunction with existing solar or wind power energy generation, the inverter charger automatically signals the generator to start up when power from these sources dips below an acceptable level. Featuring a 5,000-hr operating life as well as standby capacity of 6kW at 120V with 240V conversion capability, the product feeds AC power to the inverter, which recharges the battery bank to a suitable power level, and automatically turns the generator off when it’s no longer needed.
