Tamper-resistant receptacles

These tamper-resistant decorator receptacles are designed to prevent children from accessing electrical outlets without inconveniencing adults or compromising appearance. The receptacles feature a UL-listed shutter system in which a thermoplastic shutter covers access to the receptacle contacts. The contacts can only be accessed with the insertion of two-bladed or grounding plugs — the insertion of a foreign object in any one side of the receptacle will not open the shutter. The receptacles are available in two versions — one with an LED nightlight and one without.

Shock-absorbing lanyard

The WrapBax 2 lanyard is designed for tie-back use and features the company's patented snap hooks. The lanyard can be operated with the use of one hand and features 5,000-lb strength requirements. It is lightweight and incorporates an angled head on the hook for easy installation onto webbing. The lanyard also includes heavy-duty, abrasion-resistant 13,000-lb tensile strength webbing and eliminates the need for a separate anchorage connector, reducing inventory and cost.

Arc flash labels

New stock labels and training aids by this company are designed to enhance arc flash awareness and safety. The new warning labels meet NEC/NFPA requirements for field marking switchboards, panelboards, and motor control centers. The new arc flash stock labels warn of both arc flash and shock hazards and are available in various sizes. Training aids include a poster, sign, label, wallet card, and work permit — all designed to promote safe, compliant electrical work practices.

Banded earplugs

Howard Leight PerCap banded earplugs are designed for workers exposed to intermittent noise. The folding banded earplugs are semi-aural protectors with soft polyurethane ear pods that seal the opening of the ear canal and offer attenuation ideal for workers exposed to low levels of hazardous noise. The earplug's multiple-position band can be worn under the chin, over the head, and behind the neck of the user. Replacement ear pods are available separately.
