Arc Flash Incident Injures 3 at Google Iowa Data Center

Three electricians were working on a substation close to the data center buildings when an arc flash occurred.

In early August, three workers at the Google data center in Council Bluffs, Iowa, sustained burn injuries at what was reported as an “electrical incident.”

The three electricians were working on a substation close to the data center buildings when an arc flash occurred.

As of Aug. 9, the workers were in stable condition.
