Three electrocutions in July and several reported shocks have caused concern about electrical wiring installed decades ago on boat docks at the Lake of the Ozarks, Mo. Electricians in the lake area are in demand as owners of property around the lake — especially older homes and resort complexes — strive to make their docks safe.
Recently, the Kansas City Star reported fire marshals who inspect the wiring are in demand and hardware stores are running out of electrical supplies, as fire departments and the Missouri State Highway Patrol caution dock owners to secure their docks.
