Allied Moulded’s Ultraline Series is the Ultimate Solution for Fiberglass Enclosures

March 27, 2024

When planning a large or small scale electrical project, it can be easy to overlook the importance of choosing the proper housing for electronic controls.  Whether inside or outside, the external surroundings need to be considered in order to choose the right material and security features for your enclosure. Some users might be tempted to just use any enclosure.  But selecting an enclosure with the necessary protection and insulation from its external surroundings is an integral part of any operation requiring electronic controls.

Allied Moulded Products can help you take the guess work out of your electrical enclosure needs.  A true American story with humble beginnings in rural Ohio, Allied Moulded Products has been leading the way for nonmetallic electrical boxes and enclosures for over 65 years.  Allied Moulded has found its niche with a fiberglass reinforced polyester (FRP) material. Although messy and difficult to handle, Allied Moulded’s team of experts have leveraged the extraordinary traits of FRP to create a specialized formula that meets the demands of multiple industries.  Their proprietary ULTRAGUARD formulation provides maximum protection against the elements and extends the life of the enclosure, even in extreme sun exposure.

When asked about their highest rated products in the market, Jeff Parker, Director of Sales and Marketing at Allied Moulded, pointed out that although they manufacture and distribute several different types of enclosures, one series stands above the rest as an exceptional choice, offering a robust defense against the elements along with a modern design. Jeff explains, “Our Ultraline series of enclosures was brought to the market as a compilation of the best features our AM Series had to offer along with innovations to address challenges and requirements our team was finding across all sectors in the field. Ultraline enclosures give the end user the ultimate protection for their equipment with a sleek and visually appealing design. Regardless of the industry, when you’re working with specialty projects and high dollar equipment, visual appeal is not something contractors wanted to skimp on. These enclosures really do look as good as they protect.”

Ultraline enclosures feature a raised cover, beveled corners, and a flush lid to base design. The smooth edges allow the enclosure to integrate well into a variety of applications.  It’s also the first of its kind to offer a patented multi-mounting capability. Contractors can choose to mount the enclosure with a durable polycarbonate flange or foot brackets in either a vertical or horizontal orientation. Both options are included standard with every Ultraline enclosure and provide a secure mount as well as let air flow behind the enclosure and reduce heat buildup.

More important than the appearance of the enclosure, Ultraline was specifically engineered to keep water and dust out. A unique molded-in hinge and latch keeper eliminates the need to drill holes for latches and hinges. The advanced tongue and groove seal design works in conjunction with a polyurethane gasket system to maintain its NEMA Type 4X rating. Allied Moulded routinely tests its enclosures in UL approved lab facilities, to ensure contractors are getting a quality product to keep their electrical components safe.

Contractors can also be assured of their own safety knowing that Allied Moulded’s proprietary ULTRAGUARD formulation is a non-conductive material, and a great option to reduce the risk of arc flash while maintaining the equipment inside. When optimum visibility is needed inside the enclosure without opening the cover, Ultraline series enclosures are available with the option of a full polycarbonate clear cover or viewing window.

In addition to the features Ultraline offers, Jeff described the markets they serve. “Ultraline series enclosure are truly an excellent choice across a wide range of industries and markets. From solar applications to SCADA, electronic monitoring stations, or telecommunications, Ultraline enclosures are extremely durable, non-corrosive and built to last. The future for our industry is bright. We’re seeing an influx of quoting activity within all the markets we serve, and Ultraline is an easy solution for contractors looking for dependability and innovation in an enclosure. Allied Moulded is positioned well to support increased demand in the market. We’ve made many strides in processes and improved capacities over the past few years, and we’re always looking for ways to improve or expand our current product offerings.”

Allied Moulded’s Ultraline series of enclosures are available in a variety of sizes to meet the needs of most applications and gives the user the ultimate in design, safety and versatility.  To learn more about Allied Moulded enclosures or how the Ultraline series could be the optimum solution for your next project, visit AlliedMouldled.com or contact one of their enclosure experts at [email protected].
