The Case for Hybrid Generator Grounding

March 7, 2014
This paper presents the case for discussion on the advantages and disadvantages of each method for generator grounding. Medium Voltage Generators are not designed to withstand full fault current during a single phase to ground fault. This is the main reason that medium voltage generators are connected to a system with either low or high impedances. There are many methods to ground generators. To find out what these methods are, please download this free whitepaper.
