Burns and Roe Enterprises to Join POWER Engineers

July 23, 2014
The consolidation of POWER and BRE strengthens their respective U.S. and global presence in power and energy engineering markets.

POWER Engineers, Inc. and Burns and Roe Enterprises, Inc. have entered into an agreement for POWER to acquire all of the capital stock of BRE. The transaction was expected to be completed by the end of June.

The consolidation of POWER and BRE strengthens their respective U.S. and global presence in power and energy engineering markets, specifically in the areas of power generation, high-end systems analysis and consulting (from both a technical and economic perspective), plant startup and operations support.

POWER corporate operations will continue out of Hailey, Idaho. Post closure, BRE power generation activities will continue to be led from Oradell, NJ. The combined BRE and POWER geographic locations include major engineering centers throughout the U.S. and also in Europe, South Africa and Southeast Asia. This will increase the overall market presence and bring a more local access to clients.
