EPRI, Knoxville, Tenn., will host a workshop addressing issues of powering the digital economy. Entitled, “Exploring Energy, Deregulation, and the Digital Society,” the workshop is scheduled for Nov. 1-2 in San Francisco. Sessions will explore topics such as deregulation's impact on the digital society.

MagneTek Becomes Universal Lighting

After being acquired by Littlejohn & Co., LLC, a private investment organization based in Greenwich, Conn., MagneTek Lighting Products, Nashville, Tenn., has changed its name to Universal Lighting Technologies, Inc. Under the new arrangement, Universal Lighting believes it is better positioned to provide its line of ballasts for specification and lighting design applications.
