  • Meriter Hospital, Madison, Wis., recently ordered three additional VSS+DC flywheel systems from Chatsworth, Calif.-based Pentadyne Power Corporation. The flywheel storage systems were interfaced with redundant UPS systems to protect operation of the hospital's data centers in the event of a power disturbance.
  • Ouellet Canada, manufacturer of electric space heating products, will invest $2 million to expand and upgrade its Quebec facilities. Based on the company’s growth objectives, the new facilities are expected to meet all requirements for manufacturing and office space over the next five years.
  • Park Square Homes recently selected the residential division of Palmer Electric Co., Winter Park, Fla., for the electrical contracting at Belmeir, a single-family community in Winter Garden, Fla. The Palmer team will provide wiring for 85 homes.
