- Norwalk, Conn.-based EMCOR Group recently announced that its Dynalectric Co. subsidiary has been awarded a contract by Dupont Fabros to assist in the design and installation of the electrical infrastructure for a data center in Ashburn, Virginia. Dynalectric will install two 35KV primary feeds with eight 5000KVA 35KV to 600V transformers and 18 2250kW generators.
- Cleveland-based Eaton Corp. has been awarded an equipment contract with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) projected to exceed $40 million over a 10-year period. One of three FAA contracts currently held by Eaton, the new agreement encompasses three-phase uninterruptible power supply (UPS), maintenance bypass panels, and other associated power quality equipment, which will be deployed in mission-critical FAA installations throughout the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, and Puerto Rico.
- Schaller Automation, Blieskastel, Germany-based manufacturer of diesel engine monitoring systems, recently appointed Eltech Electric, Seattle, as its representative for sales and service support throughout the Pacific Northwest, including Alaska. Eltech’s electronics technicians were trained in Seattle by Schaller engineers and will also attend Schaller’s new comprehensive training facility at its German headquarters.
