Allied Power Group, States Manufacturing Corp., EMCOR Group

Allied Power Group

Expanding from a 17,500-square-foot repair shop, Allied Power Group's new 75,000-square-foot Houston-based facility centralizes the company headquarters, sales, repairs, and warehousing in one location. Capabilities include an engineering team to determine the best method of repair, grit blasting, a complete NDT line, heat treatment and coatings, welding and machining areas, a clean room for CMM and flow testing, and a customer inspection area.

States Manufacturing Corp.

Minneapolis-based States Electric Manufacturing Co. has changed its name to States Manufacturing Corp. to better reflect the depth and breadth of the company's services. Ownership, management, and the company's workforce remain constant, as does its focus — designing, engineering, and manufacturing custom electrical and precision fabricated metal solutions. The name change took effect February 26.

Norwalk, Conn.-based EMCOR Group recently announced that four of its subsidiaries have been awarded contracts for the installation of mechanical, electrical, voice/data, and controls systems for a renovation project that will create a new state-of-the-art Telemedicine Facility at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). The new 25,000-square-foot facility will enable students and faculty around the world to participate in actual classroom and training programs online through an extensive audio/visual program and advanced technology.
