  • Acuity Brands, Atlanta, recently announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Acuity Brands Lighting (ABL) has entered into a strategic partnership with Renaissance Lighting, Herndon, Va. Under the agreement, ABL will license Renaissance Lighting’s Constructive Occlusion optical system.

  • The Lighting Controls Association (LCA), Rosslyn, Va., a consortium of lighting control manufacturers dedicated to educating the public about lighting control design and technology, has announced that Encelium Technologies, Mt. Laurel, N.J., has joined as a new member. Encelium Technologies is an advanced technology development company specializing in energy management and control systems for commercial buildings.

  • Norwalk, Conn.-based EMCOR Group recently announced that its Dynalectric Nevada, Las Vegas, subsidiary has received a contract for the installation of electrical systems at a three-phase expansion project at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The subsidiary will be responsible for the project's electrical systems installation, including all lighting, power, telephone and data, and fire alarm and life safety systems.
