  • Newburyport, Mass.-based Ferraz Shawmut recently took the top honor in "Sales Leadership" from the IMARK Group at the IMARK Distinguished Performance. Cincinnati-based ILSCO accepted two awards from IMARK: "Excellence in Marketing and Communications" and "Supplier of the Year" in the blue category.
  • GE Zenith recently named Dallas-based Shermco Industries, a leading provider of rotating apparatus and electrical power system testing, commissioning, repair, maintenance and training, as an authorized service provider for automatic transfer switches. Automatic transfer switches are used to transfer electricity from the primary electrical system to a diesel generator during a power disruption.
  • Sonepar USA, Philadelphia, Pa., a subsidiary of Sonepar Group, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Friedman Electric Supply, Exeter, Pa. Friedman is ranked No. 82 on the “200 biggest” list of wholesale electrical distributors June 2005 issue of the Electrical Wholesaling Magazine.
