Case Launches New Website

Site helps customers understand EPA's Tier-4 emissions policy

Case Construction Equipment recently launched a new website devoted to helping customers understand the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Tier 4 interim emissions regulations, which will take effect in 2011. The new site outlines the challenges facing the off-highway equipment industry to significantly reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) and particulate-matter (PM) emissions from diesel engine exhaust and depicts the timing of Tier 4 requirements, as well as explains how Case will adopt two approaches — selective catalytic reduction (SCR) and cooled exhaust gas recirculation (CEGR) — to address Tier 4 interim and, eventually, Tier 4 final requirements.

“Case is applying the technology that achieves the lowest operating costs, depending on each model’s engineering characteristics and application requirements,” says Brad Stemper, training manager. “Our Tier-4 technology solutions integrate each model’s engine, hydraulic and electronic systems to achieve the most efficient and powerful performance.”

The site explains the technologies used to achieve compliance, their benefits, and the impact they will have on customers. It also provides answers to frequently asked questions about Tier 4 standards and compliance, and offers links to other related online resources.

“With our new emissions-compliant models, customers can count on Case for more productivity, more cost efficiency and less emissions – so they can get the job done faster and provide a cleaner future,” says Stemper.
