Construction Spending Inches Up in April

Total construction activity for April 2013 totaled $860.8 billion

The U.S. Census Bureau reported the value of construction put-in-place, seasonally adjusted annual rate, for April 2013 totaled $860.8 billion, a 0.4% increase from the revised March 2013 total of $857.7 billion. April's residential total came to $308.3 billion, while total nonresidential numbers reached $552.4 billion.
