It’s no secret that, over the past several years, almost every industry in the country has been negatively affected by the recession. Despite the stagnant economy, Milestone Electric, a contractor serving the Dallas-Fort Worth MetroPlex, has managed to grow its business considerably, as evidenced by its recent No. 41 ranking on the 2010 Dallas 100 Awards list — a 23 spot advancement over 2009.
Now in its 20th year, the Dallas 100 Awards, which are presented by the SMU Cox Caruth Institute of Entrepreneurship, recognize the fastest growing privately held companies in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
“Since founding the company in 2004, we’ve dedicated a large part of our budget to marketing in order to create brand awareness and name recognition,” says Gus Antos, co-owner of Milestone Electric. “This has paid off for us tremendously since the recession hit. We also hire top-notch employees and spend approximately one hour every day training them on how to deliver outstanding customer service to our clients.”
According to Antos, Milestone Electric expects to grow its revenue by approximately 24% annually and will continue to focus on increasing its product and services offering.
“We also upped our advertising budget by another 20%,” he adds.
